Hadeeth: A Prize for Good Deeds

1. If at all there is nothing you can do, at the very least, be honest with Allaah (تعالى) about your deeds.

2. Whenever you leave the house, your only objective should be to seek Allaah’s favor and no one else.

3. Even if people don’t like it, you should speak the truth always. Do not be concerned with the people’s emotions; instead, invite them and always show them reasons to be truthful in their deeds.

4. Let your main intention of entering the Masjid (Mosque) be that through your prayers, Allah (تعالى) will forgive all your sins.

5. Do not go to your parents because you all want to carry out the obligation that has been placed upon you! But instead, go to them to happy to perform your duties on them, as Allaah (تعالى) has stated:

وَاخْفِضْ لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَقُل رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا

“And lower to them the wing of humiliation out of mercy, and say, My Lord, have mercy on them, as they raised me when I was little.” [Suratul-al-Israa’ Chapter (17): Verse 24]

6. Do not go out of your house in the morning to harm someone. What if you die on your way to hurt him? Indeed, you will be judged by Allah according to your intention. As a result, you could not injure him or meet Allaah (تعالى) with a good purpose.

7. At every point in time, whoever truly knows his Lord (تعالى) should discreetly and sincerely pray to Him (تعالى) that He should not let anybody else take control of his affairs except Him (تعالى).

8. He should secretly pray to Allaah that He (تعالى) should not allow his heart to rely on anyone else except Allaah, and he should recall the saying of Allaah( عز وجل:)

9. One should always pray to Allaah (تعالى) quietly that He should not allow his heart to rely upon or be controlled by anybody other than Allaah (تعالى), and he should remember the word of Allaah (تعالى):

قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّـهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ * لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ۖ وَبِذَٰلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ

“qul ‘inn salati wanusuki wamahyay wamamati lillah rabi alealamin * la sharik lah ۖ wabidhalik ‘umirt wa’ana ‘awwal almuslimin”

“Say (O Muhammad {SAW}) that my prayer (Salaah), my sacrifice, my life, and my death belong to Allah, the Lord of the worlds (everything that exists including Mankind and Jinns) * He has no partner, and with that, I am commanded. Surely, I am the first of the Believers.”} [Suraatul al-An`aam Chapter (6): Verse 162]

10. If you happily oblige Allaah ( عز وجل:) to make you genuine in His religion, and seek your Lord to protects and keeps you firm on the truth.

11. Seek Allaah to keep you away from your evil deeds and foul words, and also seek Allaah’s guidance to speak the truth at all times. Indeed Allaah ( عز وجل:), the Most-Beneficent and the Most Merciful, will not let your Prayer (Du’aa) which you whisper silently and openly, go without being answered.

12. If a person wakes up with hatred, hostility, envy, pride, and evil thoughts in his heart from the Shaytaan against his Muslim brothers. Allaah ( عز وجل:) will make such person spend his whole day without having any peace in his heart – and Allaah’s ( عز وجل:) refuge will be sought.

13. Whoever truly understands Allaah ( عز وجل:) and voluntarily submit to His Will, such person will discover the benefit of his Belief (Imaan) in his Prayers, and his heart and soul will be filled with peace.

14. Allaah ( عز وجل): does not rob men of their wisdom by stealing it from their breasts. Instead, information is being taken away from people through the deaths of scholars. When there are no more scholars, the ignorant ones will be appointed as leaders, making decisions without knowledge.

The above affirmations can be used to enhance more closeness to Allaah. It will be beneficial in motivating your family, especially children, about God and shaping their minds towards him.
